Weatherford is currently seeking a full-time permanent Heavy Duty Mechanic; Automotive mechanic would be considered with the right experience. This role will provide his/ her mechanical knowledge, capability and expertise working independently in a fast-paced oilfield equipment shop. You will be required to do preventative maintenance and repairs on our own fleet of Power Swivels, Accumulators, trailers, and specialized equipment. Our equipment utilizes a large amount of Diesel Engine’s, hydraulics, and electrically operated components so expertise, additional training and experience in these areas are an asset. 

• To perform mechanical repair, overhaul, and commissioning of all Weatherford Rentals equipment. Some field repairs may be required.
• Prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance of specialized equipment.
• Observe, test, and evaluate operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction. 
• Disassemble equipment to remove parts and make repairs. 
• Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.

• Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis of equipment problems. Participate in investigations as required.

• Clean and lubricate parts and equipment. 
• Test-run repaired equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
• Order parts for equipment repairs. 
• Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford. 

• Min 5 years’ experience as mechanic is essential (preferably in the Oil and Gas industry)
• Trade Qualification (Mechanic)
• Extensive experience in Workshop, Repair and Maintenance is an asset, Example:

1. Hydraulic repairs / servicing
2. Pneumatics (Air systems)
3. Diesel Engine
4. Licensed CVIP technician
5. Troubleshooting the above systems

• Good in repair, service function/ Strong hydraulic fault-finding ability is advantageous.
• Knowledge in electrical system
