Responsibilities

Weatherford is hiring a Global Reliability Manager for our West Hardy Road location in North Houston

 

The Global Reliability Manger is accountable for developing and implementing the global DS Reliability Strategy and KPIs to ensure that Drilling Services products and services sustainably and reliably meet customer expectations. The Reliability Manager, is accountable for leading a team of reliability engineers located in the geozones, executing on product related failure investigations and development and completion of corrective actions.  Additionally, the role is accountable for the development of and adherence to reliability standards and procedures to support the strategy, generation of product improvement and cost reduction initiatives, planning and implementation of global Fleet upgrade rollouts.. The Manager is also accountable for provision of continual product & service performance feedback to Productline, R&D and Sustaining Engineering. The Reliability Manager and team will also provide technical product & service support to the R&M and Operation functions.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish Product Line Reliability strategies, KPI's and Goals that meet or exceed customer expectation and ensure commercial success.
  • Ensure the Reliability strategies and processes are fully executed at geozone, region, and product line.
  • Own and continually improve Reliability performance associated processes and procedures.
  • Lead and manage Weatherford Drilling Services Reliability Engineering group.
  • Ensure Geozone Reliability Managers and Engineers receive the appropriate training and maintain a high level of competency in reliability processes and procedures and in the technologies they are assigned to support
  • Define, lead and execute strategic preventive programs and initiatives.
  • Lead and execute top customer product failure investigations and product related Corrective Action effectiveness reviews.
  •  Lead Critical Product related failure investigations for Key customers, and ensure that the appropriate corrective actions are identified and implemented.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing & Operations to ensure product quality and standardization after product launch
  • Support local Reliability Engineering teams (incident analysis, mentoring, training, customer support, etc.)
  • Maintain Oversight / Review of worldwide and local failure events (field & shop)
  • Provide continual product & service performance feedback to Product line R&D and Sustaining Engineering for new and existing products.
  • Interface regularly with the Geozone Business Managers and Geozone Sales directors to review the progress of customer performance initiatives, and product and service performance.
  • Ensure Incident / near miss management lessons learned are captured and communicated.
  • Provide technical product & service support to the R&M and Operation functions.
  • Prepare and release global Field Bulletins/ Tech Alerts.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (preference for Engineering, electrical or mechanical, or other technical degree)
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience with Drilling service product line including 5+ years in a Reliability Manager role
  • Strong technical knowledge of DS Drilling and M/LWD technologies.
  • Direct experience leading and managing teams.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in continuous improvement, process management
  • Ability to accommodate up to 25-50% international travel as required by the role.

 

PREFERRED

  • Graduate degree, from an accredited university or college (preference for Engineering, electrical or mechanical, or other technical degree)
  • Experienced in strategic planning and execution.
  • Experienced in Field Operations
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • CRE, PMP certifications
