Responsibilities

 

The Sr HR Business Partner position supports Operations in Canada, reporting to the NAM HR Manager.  The incumbent is an integral part of Weatherford’s matrixed North America business and HR community.  The role is expected to act as a trusted consultant and partner (coach, advise, counsel) to the assigned business organization, which is primarily focused on the Canada Area.  

 

The incumbent will be expected to demonstrate strategic and operational contributions to the development, understanding and timely execution of high-quality processes, practices, and systems. The position delivers solutions within a dynamic operational context which has a relatively high level of transactional demand across all aspects of HR (e.g., talent, performance management, compensation). The individual will need to seek out, share information, and closely collaborate with colleagues across the Business Partner networks, Centers of Excellence, Shared Services both domestically and internationally, to ensure practices and decisions align with the One Weatherford way of operating.

 

  • Responsibilities will be to proactively work to strengthen HR deliveries within Weatherford and in particular to support the organisation with HR projects.
  • Support the HR senior team members with day to day HR activities.
  • Work alongside Managers to improve employee relations and maximise the effectiveness of resources to ensure management meet operational requirements
  • Provide day to day operational recruitment activities from initial discussions or requirements through to final selection and offer negotiations Provide support to a range of HR processes and programs such as resourcing, talent development, performance improvement, training and development
  • Support HR projects as and when required
  • Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these

 

Qualifications

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • HR experience within the Oil & Gas sector preferred
  • Experience in Canada business, employment laws and policies
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience in all areas of HR competency including Employee Relations, Employment Engagement and Change Management
  • Confident decision maker and have the ability to challenge managers when required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 - 8+ years related experience
  • Have a Bachelors degree in HR or related field 

 

PREFERRED

  • HR Certifications (CPHR / SHRM etc)
