Has responsibility for operating equipment and/or machinery. Duties may involve some technical elements but primarily focused on running equipment/machinery /systems. Role is hands-on and directly manipulates the equipment, machinery or system; requiring precise instrumentation/operation. Acts at field operations as an effective member of a field crew, supporting the delivery under supervision of a Field Engineer or Field Specialist.


Responsibilities and duties:

  • Complete all related training, competencies, and proficiencies as required.
  • Demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and understanding of policies & procedures relevant to operations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all relevant documentation and support systems.
  • Participate in all safety and toolbox talk meetings relevant to the job.
  • Participate in all JHA reviews relevant to the job.
  • Report issues, lessons learned and best practices promptly using the appropriate system(s) and process(es).
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills to perform basic work processes.
  • Under supervision be able to competently run equipment / machinery / systems as per work instruction.
  • Assist in performance of function tests of equipment against specific work instructions.
  • Assist in the rig up rig down operation of equipment following work instruction.
  • Assist in the service and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic and electronic components of Weatherord equipment.
  • Perform house keeping / maintenance duties in a safe manner as directed by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.


  • Minimum 2-3+ years related experience 
  • High School, diploma, skilled labour certificate or equivalent. 
  • Previous oilfield experience preferred
  • Individual must be able to follow instructions
  • Self motivated and committed to safety and service quality is a must
  • Must be able to work closely with internal employees and external customers
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
  • Must have a telephone and the ability to be on 24 hour call.
