Reporting to the Geozone Commercial Operations Centre Manager, the Commercial Operations Specialist will be responsible for delivering best in class tender/proposal submissions. This includes collating and leading both technical and commercial input from the Product Line, information from country stakeholders as well as the management of all clarification responses and contract management activities for assigned work package.


  • Accountable for coordinating all functional tender reviews (Legal, commercial, tax, credit, etc.) and gathering all required approvals (Bid Bonds, Performance Bonds, Grant of authority, etc).
  • Work with the proposal touch points in the assigned areas to manage the entire timeline for the creation of each assigned proposal and collaborate with country representatives to create bespoke local content plans, taking into account any local tendering requirements.
  • Responsible for the creation of a timeline and regular status reporting to the Geozone Commercial Operations Center Manager and Geozone touch points.
  • To conduct, lead and ensure clear contract handover process to the operations team, for their assigned area or work package, for all secured opportunities upon contract award.
  • Be fully accountable for assisting in the review of contracts in accordance with company policy and procedure, preparing commercial qualifications and assisting with the negotiation of Contracts. 


  • 3+ years of tender preparations/writing and management, sales, marketing, Product Line, commercial operations and/or contract management experience in the Oil & Gas market.
  • Successful track record of delivering complex, business or tender projects in challenging environments is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to simultaneously manage multiple bids/projects.
  • Results orientated, self-driven, energy and ability to influence without authority in a multi-disciplinary, matrixed environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and is methodical and meticulous regarding work product.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Oil & Gas Industry business environment, its market dynamics and impact to commercial business practices, oil and gas industry products and services application. Preferably oilfield services company experience.
  • Financially & commercially astute, with an understanding of contracts, business financials and commercial risk.
  • Demonstrated development of contracts, negotiations and execution of amendments.
